Cleo Reading Melting Ice Book

Three important aspects of Global Climate change are depicted in this image. (1) Glaciers are melting around the world, (2) children are the protectors of our future, and (3) planting seeds that will grow along rivers will help sequester carbon, provide shelter for creatures and hold the banks in place. This 350 pound hand-carved book of frozen river water embedded with native riparian seeds is launched into the river and as it melts the seeds are dispersed along the banks to help with river restoration. One of the many solutions to Global Climate Change is built into the ice books themselves -- by planting seeds we help counterbalance the effects of a changing planet.
